This Refund and Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations and refunds work for GetBidClean ("we," "us," or "our") subscriptions. This policy is part of our Terms and Conditions.

Our Commitment: We strive to provide excellent service and fair refund practices that comply with consumer protection laws in the USA, UK, EU, and Australia.

Merchant of Record: Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

  • No payment required
  • No cancellation needed

Pro Plan

  • Monthly: $19/month
  • Annual: $190/year
  • Trial: 7-day free trial
  • Auto-renewal: Yes

2. Free Trial Policy

7-Day Free Trial

  • Duration: 7 days from sign-up
  • Access: Full Pro features during trial
  • Payment: No charge during trial period
  • Cancellation: Cancel anytime during trial to avoid charges

If You Cancel During Trial

  • ✓ You will NOT be charged
  • ✓ Access continues until trial end date
  • ✓ Automatically reverts to Free Plan
  • ✓ Your data is preserved

If You Don't Cancel During Trial

  • ✗ You will be automatically charged after 7 days
  • ✗ Subscription begins immediately
  • ✗ Standard cancellation policy applies

3. How to Cancel

Option 1: Account Settings

  1. Log in to getbidclean.com
  2. Go to Account Settings
  3. Click "Manage Subscription"
  4. Click "Cancel Subscription"

Option 2: Paddle Customer Portal

  1. Log in to your Paddle account
  2. Navigate to your subscriptions
  3. Select GetBidClean subscription
  4. Click "Cancel"

Option 3: Email Request

Send email to: support@getbidclean.com

Subject: "Cancel Subscription"

Response time: 48 hours

4. When Cancellation Takes Effect

IMPORTANT: Cancellation is effective at the END of your current billing period.

Monthly Subscription Example

  • You subscribed on January 1st
  • You cancel on January 15th
  • You paid $19 for January 1-31
  • → Access continues until January 31st
  • → No refund for January 1-15
  • → No charge for February

Annual Subscription Example

  • You subscribed on January 1st, 2025 ($190)
  • You cancel on June 1st, 2025 (5 months in)
  • → Access continues until January 1st, 2026
  • → No pro-rated refund for remaining 7 months
  • → No charge for 2026

5. Refund Policy by Jurisdiction

5.1 USA Users

General Rule: No refunds for partial billing periods.

Exceptions: Refunds may be granted for:

  • ✓ Service outages exceeding 24 hours
  • ✓ Billing errors or duplicate charges
  • ✓ Unauthorized charges (fraud)
  • ✓ Technical issues preventing service use

Not Eligible for Refunds:

  • ✗ Change of mind after trial period
  • ✗ Unused time in billing period
  • ✗ Forgot to cancel before trial ended
  • ✗ Found a cheaper alternative

5.2 UK/EU Consumer Rights

14-Day Right of Withdrawal: UK/EU consumers have 14 days from purchase to cancel for a full refund.

IMPORTANT EXCEPTION:

If you START USING the Service during the 14-day period (e.g., generate PDFs, create bids), you waive your right to a refund.

Scenario 1: No Service Use

  • • Subscribe on Day 1
  • • Never log in or use Pro features
  • • Cancel on Day 10
  • → Result: ✓ Full refund

Scenario 2: Service Use (Most Common)

  • • Subscribe on Day 1 (after 7-day trial)
  • • Generate 3 PDF proposals on Day 2
  • • Cancel on Day 10
  • → Result: ✗ No refund (waived by using service)

5.3 Australian Consumer Law

Australian users have rights that cannot be excluded:

If the Service:

  • ✓ Is not fit for purpose
  • ✓ Is not as described
  • ✓ Has major failures or defects

You are entitled to: Full refund OR Replacement service

  • Acknowledgment: Within 48 hours
  • Investigation: 3-5 business days
  • Decision: Approve or deny with explanation
  • Processing: 5-10 business days (if approved)

7. Auto-Renewal

IMPORTANT: Your subscription automatically renews unless you cancel.

  • Monthly: Renews every 30 days at $19
  • Annual: Renews every 365 days at $190

We will send you a reminder email 7 days before your renewal date with:

  • Renewal amount and date
  • Cancellation instructions
